I guess it really depends on a few things. My personal preference is for Vimeo, and I’ll share the reasons why:

1. They have more worthwhile content.
2. The people who use Vimeo seem to care more.
3. The interface is so much cleaner then the Tube.
4. Less smut to deal with on Vimeo.
5. Vimeo is just cooler all around.

These are just the top 5 reasons I am choosing Vimeo. I realize they aren’t quite as popular as YouTube. And since Google owns YouTube, they’re more likely to pull the Tube up in search. But, I’m going to try and take the ‘high road’ and not bend my knee here.

In my opinion, Vimeo is more about quality (not necessarily video compression and codecs), and YouTube is more about quantity. That’s a deal breaker.
